Armagnac Old Fashion

  • 2 oz armagnac
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2 dashes angostura
  • 2 dashes of absinthe
  • garnish with lemon peel

There’s the rough magic of cocktail making where you learn to manipulate material things and manipulate them well, then there’s the next level of magic which is the psychology and really trying to figure out what a person wants, and being willing to be wrong about that and then use that as a pivot point to something they do like.
